Topic: General Questions about AliasPosted: 01 October 2004 at 6:32pm |

As you guys know from my other post I was looking into getting a Alias Timmy. Before I got it though I have some questions. I want to make sure this is the right gun before I spend $1,300 on it. 1) Timmys don't always seem to be very reliable. At the local proshop and field there always seems to be someone with a Timmy waiting to be fixed. How is the reliablity and durability of the Alias Timmy? I don't know if I want to put out 1,000 on a paintball gun, especially one that might break down alot. 2) What kind of lube do you use for the hammer and poppet? 3) Is the trigger of the Alias is adjustable? 4) Is the feedneck of the Alias adjustable? 5) How is maintence of the Alias? Is it fast and easy or is it slow and take up alot of time? 6) Will a CP Uni-Mount fit the grip of the Alias? Edited by ScarFace22 |

1. In terms of reliability, I haven't had my timmy break-down. As
for durability, I haven't dropped it, but the frame has pretty thin
walls. And yes, my dark timmy is based off the Alias.
2. As Panda Man has stated, dow 33 works, but dow 55 is recommended by Bob Long. 3. Trigger is definitely adjustable 4. Feedneck is an adjustable clamping no/low-rise. 5. Easy but again, be careful when removing the frame from the body and working on the barbs. 6. Yes. |

You need to give your Timmy more regular maintenance to keep it running properly. A Tippmann can be neglected and still keep on pumping. If you neglect to care for your Intimidator, you will find problems. The main thing is to keep it lubed. Dow 33 is best. Do NOT use gun oil like Hoppes. Do NOT use teflon tape on any of your fittings. Small bits of teflon can tear off and clog the solenoid. Use loctite on fittings instead.
Feel free to email me if you have any additional questions or when you're ready to buy. I can get any Intimidator that NPS has in stock. It's an awesome marker. |

Thanks county I used your site alot and I love the prices and your customer service. If I think of anything else I'll email you ast your site like i sometimes do.lol. AS for maintence and lubing, I don't personally care about extra work and maintence. If thats what it needs to keep running they fine I'm willing to spend as much time as needed. I just don't want the thing to randomly break down for no reason especially after spending over $1,000. As for vftactical I had a Smart Farts Impulse and Im fed up with the cheap quality guns they make. I never want to use another SP gun again. Just checked out your site country and it looks like the blue to black fade Timmy is backordered. |

The availability at NPS changes more frequently than I can keep up with. If you email me with your color preferences, I can find out what's available and let you know.
