umm i heard a while ago about something of uprgrading the connector elbows on the connections fromt he A-5 to the cyclone, to upgrading them to "QEV's". first of all, what are qev's? i'm not sure, but are they on the front hoses on autocockers? anyways, how can they help improve the A-5? also where can i get some, and which specific versions should i get and avoid?

all your help is appreciated

Quick Exhaust Valve. (sp?)  They release the excess air right there and than instead of making it travel back down to...well the subject is a little hazy, been a while since i have studied cockers.
The desire for polyester is just to powerful.

http://www.clippard.com/store/display_details.asp?sku=MEV-2

or MEV-2-NP for nickel plated. Youll need a hose barb to go in it too, like this http://www.clippard.com/store/display_details.asp?sku=CT2-PK G

But is that helpful for the Cyclone?  I think the air flow is strictly one way already, in which case a QEV wouldn't do much good.

I would imagine a QEV would beef up the cyclone quite a bit. Of course the air isnt one way, when the cylinder retracts with spring pressure, the air on the other side has to go somewhere doesnt it?
