Yes iPods are very good, I have a 4th gen. 20gb and it holds a lot more than I actually need. I'm assuming you can use it on a Toshiba, just as long as you have iTunes.

They're the best MP3 player ever hands down... Too bad they cost like $400...

i was looking into one.
i also have some questions if you dont mind. is there any way to play an ipod in my car, when i dont have a tape player. can someone explain what itunes are? im guessing a way to put download/ put songs on your ipod, because now alot of the newer songs i download have flaws in them that the record company puts in to prevent downloads. |

theres many ways to put it into your car, they have a FM transmitter, basically you set the thing to a radio channel thats crap, and your ipod songs just play on the radio station, theres one for tapes, but since you don't have it then nevermind, theres also one that goes into your little power outlet, the ciggarrete thing, and thats the one im getting. you have a firewire that connects to your computer and to your ipod, thats how you get the songs onto your ipod. all ipods come with itunes, you download it to your computer, ect. the only format your ipod will take is Mp3. ohh so the itunes will take the songs already on a cd (cd format) and rip them into an mp3 format so it can fit onto the ipod.

iPods are very fragile and expensive. And I don't like the way they look. But that's just me, I don't like to spend $300 to listen to music.
