A regulator will be FAR greater than an x-chamber. The only downside,
the price, but you get what you pay for. |

^palmers regulators regulate the flow of nitrogen, X-chambers give the c02 more time to expand into gas
Correct me if I'm wrong^^ I have a palmers stabilizer on my gun, best investment i get +/- 5 on the chrono |

The palmer stabalizer is one of the best if not the best reg for co2. It also works very well with nitro with no modifications. Iv also read it acts a little bit like an x-chamber. If you have the money you should invest in one. You won't regret it.

I disagree, if he is using CO2, there is no better regulator to buy than a palmer. |

My experience with the Palmer and my 98 w/ rt is that for the Palmer to be as effective as possible at removing liquid it chokes the gun to the point of decock. Run your gun without a Palmer and just go for it. Edited by Lightningbolt |

You don't have your regulator set up properly then. You need to back out the front velocity adjustment screw all the way till it doesn't block any air but doesn't fall out, and use the regulator to adjust your velocity. |

I was told to buy a dual Palmer Stabilizer (male and female) for my 98c with R/T. Any idea why this was suggested? How would that work with my drop forward? Female->^Hose<-male<-tank? Also with the front velocity turned open all the way, what should i be regulating my Co2 at? around 500? or whatever gets me 280 fps?

If you are just a regular player that plays every few weeks just get an X-core or any other x-chamber. If you are planning to move to HPA get palmers.

This is the first negative post I've ever heard about the Palmers Stabilizer. Most players comments about this stabilizer are that it's so efficient and effective you wonder why you bought that expansion chamber in the first place. It also contains a "liquid-trap" to practicly eliminate liquid co2 from ever entering your marker! If it was such a bad product then how come there are so many Tippmann users using them? I've never even heard of a Tippmann Tech trashing Palmers! |

the palmer stabilizer is the better performance. it works as both a regulator and "almost" an expansion chamber. the palmer stabilizer has a filter that keeps any liquid C02 out of the gun, and regulates it resulting in better consistancy. another good thing about it is that if you switch to HPA the palmer will take advantage of that also, unlike expansion chambers.

In that case, YES, I do disagree with the Tippmann Techs, and it won't be the first time either!! |

So will the palmer plug right into the foregrip with the VA? If so what's this thing like to hold? Is it comfortable/break resistant. Also if i get a VA with a T fitting, what would I use the the lower part of the T for? Could I plug the Palmer into that and an X-Chamber on the front? Or I dunno... Im just worried Ima break the thing if it's on the foregrip.

Well, if you plan to switch only to HPA the palmer is not the best reg you can buy. It's the best reg for CO2, but not for Nitro. It is a decent reg for Nitro, but not the greatest thing the world has ever known. Plus, you don't really need a reg when switching to nitro unless you modify the gun (polished internals, stronger drive spring, LPK). My gun gets +/- 5 when just using the Nitro tank. The tank already has a regulator on it.

Its a big round piece of metal. If your not throwing your marker down onto rocks or concrete, I'm sure it will hold up. if you get a VA with a T fitting, the only thing you can use in the lower part is a volumizer, like the LPK has. You don't really need this. |
