Does anybody know if the pro-shop 98 sniper is really any good? I'm looking into getting one. But I want some advise first, is their a better sniper marker I can get? And yes I am more of a sniper than a ground/inf. player.

No. Sniping doesn't work in paintball. And it's cheaper to buy the parts seperate.

well then 2k4kev what do I call sniper? and what kind of marker do you think i should use for sniping? Or should I just build my own with the limited parts that tippmann.com features. like the coil hose for air that the pro-shop shows, where is that? and is their more than the website shows that i can get for tippmann markers? and where do I get them?

I would put it as..... a 'back player' instead of sniper.

bah I still dont see why you guys dont like the word sniper my mind its someone who sneaks around and shoots people from a consealed postion.

I havent used a flatline but i hear they are good at long ranges so i would try one of those and a coil hose which you can get at most paintball websites i would also do some resurce on what to make your gun more consistant which will give you greater accuracy

The most important part of a gun is the player behind it.

Guys, no more sniper posts. If you need something to win you over to the right side, go check out Tiger's article on webdogradio.com. Now, that world shall not be mentioned anymore, instead, say backman...err, whatever.

Anyway, if you're looking for a "sniper" setup, the only thing that could make you a "sniper" in paintball is the flatline barrel, because it give you extra distance. I'd suggest a 98 custom, buy the flatline separately and install it, then decide where you want to go once you have that.
