I might be getting a HP tank for my 98 Custom but I don't know what exactly to look for. Could someone explain it? Thanks.

Provided you don't have an LP kit, get a High pressure (AKA, an output psi of at least 800 psi.) Like this one:
Or, if you prefer to spend less, you can buy a steel tank. These are heavier than the carbon fiber ones,^^^, but are less pricey. This tank is a 68/4500. The first number, 68, means cubic inches, or cubic units. The larger the number, the bigger the tank and the more gas the tank can hold. The second number is the pressure the tank can be filled to. Before you buy a tank, any tank, make sure that there are places near by that can fill it. For example, If you buy a 4500 psi tank, a store that has a "mother tank" (Filler tank) that outputs 5000 psi WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FILL THAT TANK because it is more pressure than the 4500 psi tank can handle. But finding a 5000 psi filler tank is un likely. Generally it is safest to buy a 4500 psi tank because a 4500 psi OR a 3000 psii filler tank can fill it. If you buy a 3000 psi tank, you are limited to a 3000 psi filler tank. There are a few, such as an Evil Scion tank, that can be filled to 5000 psi(It has a low output pressure, however). The output psi of the tank is usually 800-850 for a High pressure tank. A Low pressure tank is unnecessary for you. Edited by hybrid-sniper |

Didn't know if you knew this sniper but you told him to get a tank that outputs high pressure of about 800 p.s.i. and then you showed him a low pressure tank. Just wondering

This tank is bigger-holds more shots, comes with a free tank cover, and is cheaper. Cross fire tanks are great as well are Pure Energy. http://www.firstcallpaintball.com/detail.aspx?ID=1436

My suggestion is to save your money. 98s run just fine on Co2. Use an expansion (X) chamber, like this one from County Paintball: http://www.countypaintball.com/product_description.asp?item= 2011 Do you have a reason for wanting to use HPA on the 98? We have a 98 as back-up to our back-ups, and we have about 5 HPA tanks, and never have I had the desire or need to use HPA on the 98. Use that HPA money to buy paint!

Well I wanted to know since CO2 might not work well here in
Newfoundland from it being winter 60% of the year. I wouldn't be buying
the a HPA tank for awhile since I don't really want to spend that much
money right away. Also I do have an expansion chamber ordered so it
should be good enough for awhile.

^^^ Yeah, listen to Picasso. Any other gun would need nitro, but the 98 gets on pretty well without. |
