Looking at the Custom 98 or the A5. Should I go with the A5? The response trigger?

A-5. R/T if you don't plan on going into tournaments. E-grip if you are.

EIther Or... A-5 Bone stock= gas hog some times. When i say bone stock.. i mean no upgrades. You can improve efficency though with items like LPK, regs, nitro.. etc..other than that its a great gun, beginner, novice, pro.. 98C= Good all around, begin, novie pro, most durable I have ever seen. Can sit in garage for 5 years, no oil or n e thing, air it up, and go play and it will still work.. ( Dont Do this though.. But, A-5 and RT, wonderful choice, but like Jovian said, RT's are not tourney legal. So mainly for screwing around, home games/ woodsball.. etc.. But the difference in price, go get an e-grip, its like 50$ more than the RT, or something like that, and tourney legal . But you wont be disappointed.. Edited by TrippiN |

A-5 No question. I play with about 7 other guys.... 6 tippmann 98c and 1 tippmann Pro Carbine... Cant touch me. SO much better accuracry.... reliability(no ball breakage)... better balance... superior.... no doubt the A-5 is worth the extra cash... my buddies asked me the same question and all they wanted to do was to be able to play... so they went with the 98c... good gun...but after playing with and against my A-5 they are ALL trying to sell their guns for an A-5

Get the 98c, its more durable, reliable and alot easier to mod and upgrade compared to the A5, the A5 of course can be field stripped wit ease when its time fer some cleaning or what not, but really....the choice to which one you want is really up to you.

98c with R/T would be a better combo. You are not limited by the stupid cyclone feed system like you are with the a5. You can use any hopper out there with the 98c. Then if you swap guns you can put that hopper on it.

I'll quote what I told another guy: "If you've got the money for it, go with the A-5. It's the only marker I've had though, and it's been great to me. It's the greatest woodsball marker to begin with and grow with (completely customizeable and game-adaptable). {It basically has a high-end 'electronic' (I know, it runs on excess air) hopper built right onto the side of it (great feature).} I've never had the A-5 chop a ball in the chamber or break a ball in the barrel. (And it's got the versitility of converting into a simulation marker, if you wish.)" (I've never used the Response Trigger in a game --just dry-fired it in the proshop-- it just pops the trigger back into place a heck of a lot faster than normal, but I don't think it's worth the price, but that's your call.)
