i just got a model 98 and it came with a whole mess of parts including a rt. i know the description says it needs to be sent into a proshop. well i need to know how to find one near me cuz the locator on this site doesnt work. also has ne one ever dont it themselves. it looks to me like u would just need to drill and tap the right holes for the air line and make a little clearance for the rt piston in the handle.

thanx for the help

Im assuming that you are taling about needing to install the RT.. Its not hard at all. And you can use a drill, the instructions call to tap out the hole with a tap, and hammer.. If it didnt come with instructions, you can get em here: RT Instructions (.pdf ) You will need Abobe Reader to view this document..its a free download..

Also.. More then likely you will have to remove the hose from the power tube, then remove the power tube from the gun, take off velicity screw, and remove the valve. There isnt an easy way of doing this, but its not hard. Once you get it out, clean it up, and put it in the new power tube.. This is only if the person hasnt already installedthe new power tube casing..

i have 2 new questions first how much will it cost me to have them install it. im assuming it will be expensive because just the shipping will cost a ton of money. also for installing it myself my main concern is the little indentation inside the handle for the rt piston. the custom has a little indentation and my m98 doesnt. has anyone dont this themselves. i want to use the rt but i dont really have me more money to put into this gun so i gotta do it myself.

you can do it your self but i dont know from any experience. Triggerhappy1 has done it successfully. It didnt seem to be as hard as the A-5. Your best bet would be to call up a tippmann tech or send it to tippmann.
