they also have weaver rails that can attach to the flattie shroud so you could mount a laser to the sides, over, or under the barrel. http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.322764/sc.2/cate gory.286/.f I'm taking it that you play in low light conditions, sundow/up and urban combat? Maybe some night play? If not then the laser is only useful for cosmetics and intimidation. My experience with them is theye at up batteries, but if you do play in low light conditions they are fun. But as JCS warns you, they arent allowed in some fields so if you get one make sure its legal at teh field you are playing at. http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c.322764/sc.2/cate gory.230/.f G36C, CQB, Heavy M4, UMP, MIliatry M4, M44S, and M44L andguards should take care of the problem of it being in your way if you like that kinda stuff or http://www.specopspaintball.com/index.asp?PageAc tion=VIEWPROD&ProdID=30 this offset site rail with a weaver mount and an offset 3/8 rail Edited by ghostinthewood |

I think laser sights should be banned from paintball. |

^Hang on do you mean a red dot sight or a lazer point sight aka lazer pointer on steroids? If you mean a red dot you will need an off set rail with a dove tail. |

their advantages. But if you are refering to them being dangerous to peoples eyes, just dont aim it into their eyes. Instead of banning it, make a rules that says dont aim a laser into somones eyes. Sides, the chest is a bigger target. |

The problem is that if you could trust people to use a laser sight safely, you would not the need referee's during the game. All players are honest, safe, and fair. Right? |

So if somebody points a laser in your eyes, close your eyes for a second. How likely is that anyway?
But, to the original post - www.opsgear.com has lots of nifty attachments like that. You might also consider the Lapco offset sight rail, which allows two attachments. Very nifty. |

Have you guys ever had someone point one of those at your eyes? On a road trip we once had this trucker aiming one of those at our rear view mirror after we passed him. He did it for a couple of minutes and you could tell he had his practice and that was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. It hurt my eyes like looking in the sun. Close your eyes when someone points at you? Clark......Now come on. What a strange solution for someone using a product that typically says not to point at peoples eyes. If I have to close my eyes at all while playing paintball so someone can use a hunting laser on me I'm giving the sport up. I just can't emagine that. Tell ya what. Let's attach a laser sight on my gun and play 1 on 1 and we'll see how much it hits your mask.... Edited by Lightningbolt |

Well I'm the kinda person who says guns dont kill people, people kill people. Its just too bad that we couldnt trust each other to play fairly. But that is beside the point, he wnated to know about laser set ups, which I think we've pretty much answered. |

Actually, yes. The guy I play with/against most has an A-5 with an Opsgear laser attached. He loves nothing more than to try to point it at me. A couple of points: - how often do you actually have a chance to point your gun at somebody's mask during a game? - when it happens, how long can you point it at their mask? - when this happens, is the guy looking right back at you? Realistically, gun-to-eye contact during a game is absolutely minimal. Every so often Chris tags me in the eyes with his little laser. That is much less of a problem than the 20 paintballs that are headed my way. I play against a laser frequently, and have never been bothered in the least by it. - |

I learned something while watching Tippmann Effect. NEVER take your eyes off the field or your tagets. At what point do you want to take your eyes off the field? I'm not the duck and hide type. I get the look on the field and hold it. I either hose whoever sticks their head up or I get hosed. I can tell that we play a different style of ball. Have fun |
