i am thinkin about gettin nitro for my 98 custom wat do i need to get for my custom to make it work for nitro(everything u need and their prices) or do u think its better to jus to buy a new better gun(300-400$)that takes nitro automatically(also any gun ideas around that range) also can u use nitro with a coiled remote, and is it bad for the gun if u switch from co2 to nitro frequently or it has no affect? thanks Edited by ship |

all you need is the tank... just like on pretty much every other marker around.

A gun is not a weapon... It's a tool. Like a butcher knife, or a harpoon, or...uh, a...an alligator. |

If I were you, id go for an electro...you can a decent under 400....but
the 98c is a great gun, and nitro would help alot with consistancy and
acuracy...gl

coiled remote would work fine as long as its rated for the psi you have going through it. switching back and forth fron n2 to co2 is ok as long as you chrono every time you do so.

you can use any remote with any tank. remember the tank HOLDS 3000psi, 4500psi, ect, but it outputs 850psi max. 3000psi going into your gun would blow it up.

your tank always has to be high pressure output on a 98 even with an lpk because you have to get a regulator when you are using the lpk.
lpk means low-pressure kit or comp-air. its the system designed by GTA to make the 98 custom work more efficiently with n2. *e: a drop-forward brings the ASA or bottle adapter down and forward. but if you're planning on getting a remote line a d/f would be useless. Edited by SlipKnoTpb |

that tank is very small. you wont get any more than 500 shots out of it and its about as heavy as a full 20oz. a drop forward drops and puts forward that bulky tank (look at my sig). it keeps it out of the way and balances the gun too.
and another thing, its not actualy nitrogen, its compressed air and usually called HPA(high pressure air). it will help so much. there will be no frezzing up, very precise consistancy, and its just overall better. |

you'd probly get less shots out of the tank you want to get than a 20oz CO2. and (correct me if im wrong) but i dont think you can run that low of a pressure in a 98c. you'll also want a carbon fiber tank cuz they last longer and are more reliable. so you're best bet would probly be a 71/4500 carbon-fiber wrapped tank. i suggest crossfire hpa tanks. if you want a hole new gun id reccomend the b2k4. they might be a little more than $400 though, i cant member. they're reliable and fast straight from the factory. good luck! |

some tanks are low output (450psi), some high (800psi-850psi), and some are adjustable. you can run a remote or put it right on your gun, whichever you want.
carbon fiber wrapped tanks do not last longer at all. you have to re-hydro test them every 3 years ($25-$75) and they have a maximum usage life of 15 years. steel ones must be re-hydroed every 5 years and have unlimited life as long as they pass testing. they are heavier and smaller, but last a lot longer |

1. Dont waste your money on a LPK 2. Get a crossfire tank instead of that pure energy if you want the same size and its usually 75 about everywhere. 3. Carbon fiber is usless unles you play in tournaments and need alot of monuverability or if you are extremely weak. |
