i have an A-5 and was wodering if the maddman spring kit was any good for it. i asked one guy and he said its only good for the 98 because if you use it fot the A-5 you oly get one or two springs that acually fit thanks Edited by ace17 |

With the Maddmann spring kit, you can use the three Drive springs with the A-5 and not the trigger springs. |

They change the velocity, by applying different amounts of force on the

You really wouldn't need them on a stock A-5. When you go to low pressure via the comp-air system, you may need to adjust the volume of air released by changing the drive spring (increasing or decreasing tension). For example, my LPK has a custom setup that is currently restricting air flow. I need to get one and use the red one (more tension) to increase the volume of air released to give the cyclone more air to spin correctly. Currently, it's not feeding fast enough and chopping paint.

You could use the springs on a stock A-5. Its more efficient to adjust
your velocity by adjusting the pressure on the hammer, than to block the air traveling into the front bolt with the stock velocity screw. This is why people buy RVA's. |
