Hey, Ive just brought my tippmann 98c, and was wondering wether i needed to install anything else to run compressed air on it. I have an air compressor so it would be easier if i can use that instead of CO2, plus the other benefits thanks lee |

Hello and welcome to Tippmann. Unfortunatly, you won't be able to use a regular air compessor. They only have a maximum PSI of 200-300 PSI. If you do have a high pressure one that costs thousands, let us know where and when we can sneak some fills off of you. LOL Paintball HPA tanks usually have a pressure of 3000-5000 PSI, depending on type. Your best bet is to get a 68 ci. 3000 PSI tank from Pure Energy, Crossfire, Nitroduck, ect... They are around $100 at the moment. You will need to get one with a high output pressure (800-850 PSI) as opposed to a low output tank (400-500 PSI) because your 98C operates on 800 PSI. CO2 is less expensive but not nearly as consistant and goes from a liquid to a gas state so it doesn't work as well in cold temps. Also you can't mix and match tanks. CO2 tanks only work for CO2, and HPA tanks can only be used for HPA. Hope this helps.
