Evil driver isn't too bad, nice and light, but really most barrels are about the same, the paintball travels down it, and travels out of it.  I'd go for the J&J Ceramic if I were you, it self cleans (you get a break, and shoot a few times, it'll be clean), it's light, and a good price (around 30 at most places).

really? i never knew that my stock barrel adn the Freak or Pipe are really the same, just one costs more.what if you shoot into someones barrel? then the paint goes in and breaks, not down and out.

and the driver is self-cleaning too, in about 2 shots even. and it looks lots cooler than the ceramic. and in case you didnt know, the teardrop is self-cleaning too (has teflon coat inside) which is also why its $15 more than the progressive. but none of these look as cool as the driver

PS: this has nothing to do with how their barrels perform but the Evil twins are HOTT AS HELL!no wait...TWICE AS HOTT AS HELL!!!

My driver isn't self cleaning ...but you can make it self cleaning by putting Rain-X in it.  Your stock though isn't that great, since the porting is 4 inches from the beginning, the barrel pretty much ends where the porting begins.  The Freak and Pipe kits are special because it comes with multiple fronts, for different sizes of paint, a good paint to bore match helps with accuracy.

lmao i was joking about the stock barrel bein like the freak and pipe (hey i wrote freakin pipe  wow im dumb) but yea the driver is supposedly self-cleaning, at least thats what they say on pbreview. so how do you like it? does it shoot thru breaks ok, or you cant hit the side of a barn from inside one? and is it accurate normally without breaks?

that rain-x thing actually works? how do you do it?

PS: if you stare at your avatar you will have a seizure like those japanese kids watching pokemon

I do enjoy the Driver a lot, looks nice, and very light.
As for the Rain-X, I haven't tried it yet, but you just spray it down your barrel, until it's been applied to all of the insides surface, and then wipe it off.  After a few cases of paint you may need to put it on again.

I will say this and people may disagree but I feel real strongly: The LAPCO line of barrels(Bigshot,AutoSpirit,Microshot) are THE BEST at shooting through breaks other than a custom, non-ported barrel.

ANY barrel tat has good honing will shoot the broken paint out of the barrel in a couple shots...this is the first key to shooting through breaks and a quality barrel, good bore honing.

If you have a barrel with good interior honing(basically any quality barrel), then the only other real important factor is porting. More porting equals more trouble, guaranteed...that's why LAPCO's shoot through breaks like no other.

Very good honing, minimal porting, and that's all there is to that!

I honestly have never heard of the Evil Driver, but from what I heard about the Evil Pipe, they just make good barrels and charge more for the name(newbs)....it's not more accurate and most likely less trouble-free than the LAPCO.

The LAPCO will be every bit as accurate as the Teardrop, but with a wider variety of paint, and less troublesome...all the while costing less and looking like it was made for a Tippmann.

IMHO, you really can't go wrong with a 12" Beadblasted LAPCO Bigshot on a Tippmann.

Basically, if you were gonna spend that much on a Driver, iw ould check out Palmer's Pursuit Shop and check out their unported barrels.

I've never used one, but from what I hear you really aren't gonna get anymore accurate than this...and it will shoot through breaks better than ANY barrel you have ever tried or seen.
