Hi. I heard about this place from one of my friends and i have a question. Right now i have a tippmann with an egg but my gun doesn't shoot fast enough. Ihave around $160 and i want to know what would be a good way to upgrade my gun by keeping it tourny legal and not getting an e-bolt? is there a way? Thanks

o yeah. my set up right now is a 98 custom with an egg 2 and a terrminator barrel with a rufus dawg double trigger nad a 20 oz co2.

Welcome to Tippmann. The R/T trigger isn't tourny legal. The E-bolt is about it, until they come out with an E-grip for regular C98's. They have one on the new custom pro and we're waiting to see if they retro fit it to older guns. Sorry.

I say get a drop, to move your gun closer to your body (cosidering you have a 20oz). Maybe an x-chamber and some new grips.

There are various mods you can do to your gun that can make it go a little bit faster (and keep it tourney legal, most of the time.) Find them here: www.model98.net

get a rufus dog center feed kit. And the only firepower upgrade u can get that is legal, is the e-bolt.

Replace trigger spring with a clicky pen spring and stretch out the
sear spring a little. That should help you out with firing a
little faster.. and anything further will cost money such as the R/T or
Ebolt.

Sorry man, the eBolt is about it for now. The RT isn't tounament legal but it will speed you up if you are willing to compromise to backyard play. I highly recommend the Pen Spring mod for your trigger. I recently added a PsychoBallistics Double Trigger to my A-5 eGrip and did the Pen Spring mod to it, it's pretty quick now. You're not going to be able to get too quick with that mechanical grip though. Expect only around 8 to 12 BPS without the eBolt or RT.

how would i be able to stretch the sear spring a little and which spring is the sear spring? how big should the clicky pen spring be?

u wont be able to mod the sear with a pen, its got 2 hooks on the end and its not a good idea to mod it anyway, just leave it be. if u want to shoot fast enough for an egg2, get a better marker. a double trig is slow enough for a stock hopper(it works for me)

yeah i have an egg already so it gives me more choices. Like now i could by a new gun or get the e-bolt. I also like it because it is clear i can see how many paintballs i have left. My stock was black and i shoot plain are sometimes. Could i get a gauge that says how many shots (or something) on my tippmann? And skene, you are my savior, thank you. Now my trigger pull is so light.

You can get a guage, but it wont tell you how many shots are left. Unles you get an LPK, then get Angel A.I.R. Those can tell you kinda sorta how many shots are left. |
