from what i've been able to find out the ebolt is limited to 15 bps by the board, where as the r/t can be tweaked higher. i have the r/t on my 98 and my stock halo b didn't keep up, i keep chopping, so i put in the victory board and with it set at 17bps i still got some chops but when i set the board for 23bps i stopped chopping. the ebolt can be upgraded with a new board etc. but it will cost you quite a bit more.

If you play woods then I'd go for the r/t while if you play speed then go for the e-bolt (some fields don't allow the r/t).

The E-Bolt can be tweaked, just like any other piece of equipment, its just
harder to do since its alot more complex. Search around, I've heard of ppl
replacing the board for the E-Bolt and getting ones that are uncapped and
can use eyes... if you've got enough skill, or enough money, you can usually
accomplish whatever mod your trying to do.
