I have an A-5 and was wondering why there isnt a hole somewhere behind
the hammer. I think it would shoot faster if the air behind the hammer
could move freely.

... Let me think... I honestly have no clue. I don't own an A-5 (I haven't even used one), but I'm guessing the air would leak out through the cocking mechanism. Probably not, but just a guess. Ah, forget it. I have no clue. |

Never though of that. But why is there an o ring on the end cap. Seems like they want air sealed in.

Its a bumper o-ring, when the hammer comes back it slams
into that cap which slams into the o-ring . oh, the blowback gases escape through the trigger assembly mainly. They arnt really slowing anything down and the speed your firing, you just gotta pull the trigger faster.Put air on the gun, take out the rear trigger frame pin, pull down the rear of the triiger frame away from the body of the gun cock and let go of the cocking handle....observe....... maybe at that speed its getting slowed from the gas not being able to escape rapidly but not enough from just normal shooting.
