Size doesn't matter.

Pick the size according to your primary field position.

Longer for back,

Shorter for front.

Do you want more maneuverablility(12") or easier aiming(14")?

It's all personal preference. Like YWSM said... Longer for back, shorter for front.

the only diff between 14 and 12 is gas usage same results on field

Correct me if I am wrong (which I am sure someone will do!!!) but isnt anything over 12" pretty much a waste as far as velocity and accuracy ?
