I got second
........................................Last lol![]() But i finished witch im happy about and i was the FIRST finished the assembly. A few teams broke or stretched the rules one team failed to finishe the build and one team broke down. I was the ONLY backyard kinda deal there the rest were pro bike builders. One team showed up with a FULL Kawasaki 400CC bike and just assembleds it there but
they were disqualified for not useing a lawnmower engein. The
winning team used a BRAND New kids dirt bike and NEW 11hp ride on
lawnmower engien. It was FAST but worth In my opinion more than
the $250 alowed limit (and i was worried bout being $50 over yikes) but
most of there parts were "donated" so they got around that. The
other
team that actually MADE there own frame tosed there chain mid
race.
All in all though it was a blast. Got a plaque some screw dirvers
and
a battery charger just for finishing but NO trophy .If you consider No starts disqulificatinons i guess i got 3rd out of the 6 teams there. I ONLY really beat through one team on the track only cuase there bike broke down LOL. BUT we were also the MOST coustom bike while useing ABSOULTLY NO motorcycle parts. That being said i have already started designing next years bike useing parts from this one (Ie ENGINE). I kinda like going in their with the smallest engein. But next year i gona use a differant drive system possibly with some kinda transmishion. OH yeah forgot heres pics of the finished product PRE RACE (kinda beat up now cause we had some fun after the race includeing a burn out competition witch we did pretty good in (mind you we were kinda LIFTING ther rear end just to get the tire spinning LOL). ![]() Edited by BearClaw |

Actually Now i working on a REAL bike (or really a Trike). Of
course it will look ALOT better and be of BETTER qualitly. Right
now im just in the parts scrounging stage but it will offer some UNIQUE
qualities i have yet to see in the market. So far i got a Frame,
Engine, Trans, rear wheels. LOTS more to go and will probly not
be done for atleast another year. Its kinda a project.
Depending how it goes i thinking i may do this a full time hobby after hrs kinda deal. It really is Alot of fun i dont plan to really sell anything just like building stuff. The trike im working on will DEFINATLY be original and i have a Air brushing artist intrested in painting it when done just for recognition (same guy that did my tatoo lol). |
