Going from a A5 to a Matrix/Angel is a bad idea.

Yes, it is. Find a mid end elctro. A B2k or Ion should be your next stop. But, if you must. Go with the angel. Its going to be much easier to take care of then a DM5. Its going to faster then the DM5. Go with the 05 speed. Again, I dont reccomend moving from an A5 to angel. But please, if you do, learn everything you can about the gun and how to take care of it. I hate saying a high-end guns sitting in the pro-shop repair room. |

Yes, I suggest you do some research first. Though I went from an A-5 to an Angel, I knew what I was getting into before I ever got it.

I made the jump from a spyder to an E-bladed cocker, and the transition
turned into a high learning curve for me, but in the end, I've been
able to figure out every marker I've owned since. If you're
experienced with the sensitivity of electronic devices, then it becomes
simpler.
In regards to the 05 speed vs the DM5, I don't really understand this comparison. There is a fairly high price difference between them of ~ $400. Both are great, but ultimately you have to try them both. The 05 speed trigger is unmatched, but you might have to tweak it a bit (simple). The DM5 has less recoil. In terms of maintenance, the Angels are a bit more difficult than Trixes, but if you understand the operation of electro pneumatics, it is actually extremely simple. The manual is quite descriptive. The DM5 maintenance is bulletproof easy (follow the manual again), but requires attention to the numerous o-rings (there are around 10 o-rings on just the Fuse Bolt to pay attention to), which may become a cause for the DM5 to go down. An Angel has 5 o-rings in the whole gun. So for reliability, I would say Angel. |

If your looking into a DM5 maybe you would be intristed in a cheaper... easier to maintain... PROTO MATRIX.

Easier to maintain? They're like the exact same thing. DM5's are way better than Angel's. Preformance wise, they're unmatched. |

There are more than 5 O-rings there buddy.... --------------------------------------------------------- Basically it all boils down to personal prefference. I had my 05 Speed for 6 months, and my DM5 for 3 weeks.... I will admit, the DM5 didn't break down at all. I never had any trouble lubing the Bolt, and have never broken an O-ring. As long as you keep up on maintenance, your Marker will not break down. |
