I just opened firefox and it switched the profile to "default".
On my profile I had it perfect, I had everything arranged and plug-ins
installed. How can I switch back to my old profile.

did the default profile change anything?
mine asks me to switch every now and then, i just cancel out and restart firefox and it doesn't ask and comes up fine. |

It usually only asks me to switch profiles when the last open instince of firefox didn't closer correctly. Close the current instence and control alt delete and look for anything that says firefox in the processes and close out of them
