i dont think their are any parts to lighten it , you can mill numerous things on it to make it alittle lighter.

Titanium is not lighter than aluminum. The only steel part of significant weight in the marker is the hammer (rear bolt). Which can be made out of aluminum with only a small steel insert where it strikes the valve pin. Such a hammer weights about 1/3 less than one made from titanium. |

You beat me to it. Titanium is STRONGER than aluminum, but it is also heavier. Titanium has the greatest strength to weight ratio of any metal. |

Wouldn't a lighter hammer just make it so you would have to crank up your velocity?

I dont think so because all the velocity screw dose is adjust the amount of air put out every time the bolt slames down not how hard you have to hit it |

Probably since a lighter hammer wouldn't have the inertia when hitting the valve to open it fully and alow as much air through. That's why the LPK has a stronger drive spring, and a valve with a lighter spring.
Titanium for moving parts isn't the best idea. Titanium galls easily. It "sticks" for want of a better term to other metals very easily. |

No, along with the lighter bolt one would have to switch to a heavier spring to maintain the impact force with the valve pin. |

the velocity screw just adds turbulance, thus decreasing/increasing velocity
