Iv'e played Paintball numerous times with friends but i have yet to buy a gun... Ive just borrowed from other friends. Now that im gunna start playing more my friend wants to sell me his 98 Custom with an 18" barrel , an air tank, and an old hopper for $350. (I can find the exact gun for $150 online) Is that a good deal, or even a good gun or should i just look else where for other types of guns?

Basically: Is the gun just too old and is 200$ good for a barrel and tank?

That's pretty pricey. What kind of air tank, barrel, and hopper is on it?

Yeah, we need to know what kind of tank, barrel, and hopper's on it. If it's a HPA tank and a good barrel and hopper then it might be a good deal.

That is way overpriced, unless it is a very nice tank/hopper.

If its HPA, a stiffi and a revvy then its a decent deal.  I would still go for a A-5 similar to the one in my sig or a ION.
My guns name is Mr. Max in remembrance of my dog that got hit by a car: Tippmann A-5
Ricochet R-5
JCS double Trigger
Tippmann E-Grip
Flatline Barrel

Do you have the need for speed?

He's ripping you off unless it's a nitro tank and a really expensive barrel.

that is a lot of cash, but a tippmann is a nice gun. try to get it cheaper tho. you can customise the crap out of a tippy and embarass the guys who have a shocker...

dont do it, for $350 you can get a 98 custom pro responce(199.99) freek junior kit(69.99) nice hopper(egg~~60) so far that totals to 329.98 and you have enough money left over for 2 factory reconditioned 20 oz co2 tanks from www.firstcallpaintball.com
