OK... another one of these... Woodsball is good old paintball as everyone older then you knows it, and is by far most popular with those who do not know what a web forum is, or have tournement markers. Woodsball is enjoyed by friends in a natural environment and involves stealth then hasty bunker shootouts. Speedball is becoming more popular because there can be spectators, even field advatange, and companies can set up fields on real estate that is limited in size. This is good for having professional competitions. Speedball is basically taking the paintball engagment, and then running with the idea for the equipment and field obstacles... it is very consumer based (you shoot a lot) so the companies love it. Scenario games are elaborate woodsball games, involving role playing, and not held often in comparison because they take much pre-planning by the host. I am a paintball player, so I play all, and I don't hold one over the other. If you can do good in any, with a little time to acclimate, you will do good in all. |
