Hey all,

Just finished modding my marker. I didn't feel like taking the whole assembly apart every time I wanted to change a battery...so...I did a easy fix.

First off, on your e-grip frame, you can see the notch out for the response trigger air supply to come in, notch that out. 2nd. Where the air assembly sits for a R/T in the marker, mill that metal out. 3rd. Run your battery wire between the side plates and to the rear of the trigger assembly, out the hole in the frame. 4th Now you have to come up with a suitable battery box. Try radio shack, I myself in the meantime am using an old 35mm film cannister zip tied to my offset. Not the finished project but will get me through my next game. This way, when I have to change batteries, I only have to pop a cap off, change the battery and pop it back on!

Another point, doing it this way, you are capable of running TWO batteries (in parallel) so you will have twice the cranking power, (longer lasting).

Im no electrician, but it seems that running 2 batteries in parellel is going to give you twice the amperage at the same voltage. Probably not a good idea.

As long as you run the wires red to red and black to black, the voltage stays the same, it is the battery life that is extended.

But the current stacks, which is bad for electronics designed to work with only one battery, at one batteries amount of current.

That is a non issue, according to an electrical engineer friend and a Professional Engineer.  Not a problem, have had my marker this way for sometime now with no ill affects.

That statement is correct, however it is not talking about Current, it is talking about Current Capacity or Capacity of a battery. Two different things, Current is measured in Amps, and Current Capacity is measured in Amp-Hours or some variation.

Current is not something that is there continously like Voltage. A battery has a certain amount of Voltage that it can supply. Amperage comes about from running that Voltage through a Resistance such as a motor or a resistor.

Stacking batteries in series such as inserting them into a flashlight +-+-, etc adds Voltage but keeps the Capacity the same.

Putting batteries in parallel like described here keeps Voltage the same but adds Capacity.

Say you had 4 1.5Volt batteries with 2000mAh (milliamp-hour) and you put them in series, you would have a combined battery of 6Volts with 2000mAh. Take those same 4 1.5Volt batteries with 2000mAh capacity and put them in parallel and you have a combined battery of 1.5Volts and 8000mAh.

This being said, if you have a system that runs on 1.5Volts, as long as you always put 1.5Volts into it, it will have the same Amperage. It however can perform the same Amperage if it has a battery with a capacity of 2000mAh or 8000mAh, only the 8000mAh will continue to work 4 times longer.
