You would have to buy the custom pro reciever halves because they are different. You would also have to buy a new sear assembly and the e-grip. No, Tippmann would not do it for you. It would be hard to do with a dremel.  In the end, it probably isn't worth it.

What do receiver halves have to do with installing the E-Grip from a Pro into a 98C grip frame? I do not think he was asking to fit the Pro grip frame to the 98C receiver. He wants to install the components of an e-grip system into a 98C. It looks doable to me!

it is possible yes but it will take a LOT of time and you can really mess your gun up doing that.

How? Have you messed up your gun trying to do that. Do you know someone who has? Yeah, just like you'll mess up your gun trying to install the M98 E-Bolt into the 98C gripframe. Piece of cake.

That looks like it's going to be tuff. All I have to say is that if you try it, have everthing planned out before you go dremeling anything.

First picture looks like an R/T rather than an E-Grip...but picture quality is too poor to really tell.

There are E-Grips available from several web stores, but they are way over priced (aftermarket brands, not Tippmann parts). It looks to me that it would not be too difficut to adapt the Custom Pro E-grip mechanism to the 98C grip frame

Will it? Without Dremel work?

Oh, I see now after reading other posts that the new 98C has been changed such that the E-Grip that fits the Pro WILL fit the 98C. Seems that they ought to make a change in designation some way. Maybe call it 98 Custom L  (for late model).

Wouldn't I still need some new internals though? And also, how much would those pro halves cost me?

No, that is not what it means. It means that it will take some modification to fit the trigger to the earlier model 98C.

I believe it has been posted that the Custom Pro E-Trigger comes with a new sear and spring. If it doesn't then you'll have to add that to the list (along with the new shells).

Do you know how much I would be able to get the custom pro receiver halves for? I tried one site and they were 110, and I can buy a whole new gun for that much...just wondering if they come any cheaper.
