      So what did y'all think of Bush's speech this morning? I thought it was really good actually. One of his best. I definately liked how he layed out the plan for Iraq and really made it clear why we can't just leave. I've been waiting angrly for something like that. Not sure it was quite specific enough but yeah. I agree with him on that point too believe it or not. My official Iraq policy: Never should have went, can't leave now. I still maintain that he and his administration are doing a really bad job with the WoT and they need to be beaten for it but I think he is correct in this one point. I just wish he was making this point about oh say...Syria, Iran, Lybia....the list goes on but you get my point.

Thoughts?

it was good. I also agree we shouold be at war with Syria and Iran. But I would like to add China and North Korea to that list. After those then France.

I'm not speaking in moral terms, giving freedom to anyone is "right". I mean right for this country, and thats what I care about.

And that information he was given was what they call "intelligence made to order". He was fishing for an excuse to invade Iraq. He wanted to go in right after 9/11 and Powell talked him out of it.....


Oh and the French this is OLD. The French have been our ally since we have existed and they were right about Iraq. Get over it.

Yeah, he showed restraint. Powell talked him out of it.

No president is going invade a country because he feels like it. No one is going to let that happen, not congress, not his staff, not the senate. It just wouldnt happen.

Really we have no buisiness liberating anyone. As far as international policy is concerned, a soverign nation can do whatever they want to their own people as long as its inside their borders.

But as it stands, we went in looking for WMDs years and years ago, back in the 90s and it escalated to a war and we deposed the leader now we have to rebuild a shattered country, and if we can, plant the seeds for a good relationship with a infant nation. Like the french did with us.

Calling it "Iraqi Freedom" is just a ploy to get all the gung ho "help everyone so they feel no pain" crowd to go along with the government.

And french people are awsome. Hating frenchies has been like the in thing to do for so long, even before the war, its just a huge bandwagon, its just ignorance.

"Yeah the french people, they are just so... FRENCH! They all smoke wear striped shirts with barets and drive gondolas!"

Come on, we arent a waring a people, we would rather eat and make love with our faces than fight a war.

Come on... Clinton lied about getting a favor from a lady in court and got impeached.

Bush supposedly lead a nation to war with false inteligence and nothing?

Yeah, doesn't make any sense to me either....I'd love to see that fact change...Thing is, lieing about sex is a lot easier to prove than proving an entire administration led us to war under false pretences....Especially when there are many powerful people making it so....
