Ya, My cousin and I both bought 98 customs, anyways, we went out today and shot each other . we had a blast. anyways, he shot my gun alot and a few balls busted in my barrel and got paint in it, so im guessing water is ok for the barrel but as far as inside the marker itself, should i use a Q-tip or something?

anyhelp would we great for a new Paintballer

Hot water and dish detergent will clean the barrel good as new. Will also do a good job on the rest of the marker when you disassemble it, rinse, dry. lube and re-assemble.

ty bud... you talking about like Dawn soap or like what u put in a dishwasher?

Dish detergent, not dish washer detergent. Dawn is as good as any...better than some...cuts the grease and grime well...

Yup. Now the only thing you shouldn't put under water is the power tube. But anything else feel free to soak under water.

how about wipeing the inside of the body clean with a towl?

Barrels I use carwash. For cleaning the outside of your gun I use a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcahol and water, same with hopper and tank.
