I went to qloader.com, and Ive done research on the forums here on the Q-loader. On the website, theres a video about the reloading of the loader, and it ahs this completely differnet piece of equipment to do so. Do you have to have this to reload it, or can you do it by hand?

You must have the loading socket and crank to load your qloader pods. The equipment loads the paintballs into the pod, while simultaneously adding the necessary tension to the drive spring.

You could do it with a screwdriver, but youd need to be really coordinated.

Monk- Your idea in theory could work (one ball at a time) but,
the Qloader drive spring/socket has a triagular cross-section, and is
made of plastic. To use a screw driver would most likely damage
the spring/socket, and it'd be comical to see you try to load the pod
fully with the necessary number of pre-winds.
Middie411- If you mean in the safe zones, it depends on how comfortable you are with the system. It can be a little troublesome when you're new but, once you get the hang of it, a few minutes for six pods (especially if you got an agitating loader connected to the loading socket). If you mean on the field (in the middle of a game), you'd have to bring the loading socket with either a hopper or the silo connected to it, which would be a little ridiculous imho. |

Middie411, yes, you are correct, that is actually the whole principle of the system. Pre-load the pods in between games, then quickly switch out the pod during the game. It is even faster than the tradtional pods since there are no lids to close. The swap videos on the website show this in action.
In order to carry multiple pods onto the field, you need to ensure that your harness can handle larger pods. |
