Ok my RT isnt strong enough for full auto. I have the screw all the wa out as far as it will go too. whats wrong?

Too far out is no good. You have to find the middle point where it is just right. Turn the screw in in quarter-turn increments and keep test-firing until you find the spot where you can get the best result. Trial and error. |

First turn it allll the way in. It should be very hard to fire shot after shot. Start slowly turning it out in 1/4turn increments. Fire at each of these and youll start to be able to maintain a burst. Keep going untill it you find a ROF your happy with.

i bought it secondhand so there wasnt any. It is very hard all the way in, and earlier today i had about a 7 shot burst but never agian. Im thinking about a bigger hose too. Any good in that?

But - the bigger hose is still a good idea (aka "super RT"), as well as trigger spring removal, straw mods, etc. Lots of things you can do to soup up the RT. |

You don't need the trigger spring with the RT - all it does is slow you down. Removing the spring allows the trigger to move faster and easier. The "straw mod" is when you place a piece of a straw around the sear resting pin, like this (pictures are from an A-5 - same principle applies for a 98):

hey thats a kool idea...im gonna try that (the straw mod and the take the trigger spring out) but my question is...what happens when the rt stops working (when the tank is almost out) ? wouldnt it just keep firing on auto? because the rear bolt just keeps skipping over the sear? .. thanks edit:i think ill just put a really small spring in (a pen spring cut short) so i don't have to worry about anything if the rt stops working for some reason P.S. also, would it make the trig. pull lighter if i put a smaller spring in the sear too? The straw mod won't make the hammer skip the sear - it just reduces travel. If you frequently shoot your air so low that your RT stops working, you probably should leave a trigger spring in, but you could switch out for a lighter one.

Don't change out the sear spring though. You need a strong spring on the sear so the rear bolt catches and doesn't skip.
