Sitting back reading many a response to a previous "debate" on government intrusion on personal rights, I observed something. In reading the California election results generating the initial thought, I also find a strange situation.

A majority Democratic State who as in National Democrat policy wants more governmental control on social issues, and a larger government, laud the fact that they defeated what they preach but in a differant light.

Abortion reporting and the possibility of Roe vs Wade reversal have the Dems scrambling, it is one of thier primary social issues. The right of a woman to control her body begins with personal responsibility at the time of the initial act. The use and availability of birth control should make the abortion issue mute, if the individuals involved were initially responsible.
Having society pay for a personal lack of responsibility should not be a right. Criminal rape or medical issues are debatable, but the opps I forgot, now take care of it, should not be the responsibility of the state.

Hypothetically in future decesions abortion now determined legal could be used as a form of selective breeding, look at mainland China, where the government can mandate family. Don't discard this idea, once a pandoras box is opened for government control, it is next to impossible to keep it from growing and putting the genie back in the bottle.

Just another boring day, another surgury 16th, and another 3 months down, getting cabin fever.
