Nitro/compressed air

I hope this does not sound too newbish, but is N2 the exact same as compressed air?  If so, could you fill up your tanks from an air compressor somehow?  Also, whats the difference between the High Pressure air and teh Low Pressure Air.... Im looking into possible switching my M98C RT  from CO2 to nitro.

Air is approximately 73% nitrogen, if I remember correctly.  For paintball purposes they are exactly the same.

Your garage compressor will not be able to fill a nitro tank.  Your compressor puts out 150ish psi - the internal pressure of a nitro tank is at least 3,000 psi.  With a scuba filling station you can fill nitro tanks, but not with your garage compressor.

High pressure tanks put out 850ish psi - about the same as a CO2 tank.  Low pressure tanks put out 450ish psi, and only work for some low pressure guns.  If you are using CO2 now you will need to get a high output pressure tank.

^^Yup. You'll just need a HP tank for your 98, and you'll be good to go.

Does anyone know if a scuba shop would be able to fill a paintball HPA nitro tank with out any special paintball equiptment?

Yes, they can fill your tank. Although, you may have to sweet talk them into
doing so by convinsing them you are not using it for scuba diving w/o a
license.

Clark Kent gave you the straight skinny on High and Low output. All HPA tanks are pressurized to (1800), 3000, 4500, or 5000 psi. The regulator built into the neck of the tank reduces output pressure to ~800 psi in the high pressure output tanks and ~400 psi for the low pressure output tanks. I may appear to be confusing but it is not...all HPA tanks are filled to high pressures which can range from 1800 psi up to 5000 psi. Output high is 800, low output is 400.
