A couple of weeks ago I got my brother into paintball by buying him a brand new Custom Pro. I just got him a Halo B for his Christmas present. The gun came with an RT in it. Hopefully he won't need much else for a high rate of fire. Any other suggestions for getting the RT firing at top speed without chopping paintballs?

Dang you are one nice dude. Either that or you have a great paying job!

Is he using CO2? At high rates of fire sometimes the gun can "freeze up", or become very cold and your velocity will drop.
Some time down the road he may want to get an HPA tank, but I'd say wait on that for a while. Or you can get similar results with an anti-siphoned CO2 tank and a Palmer's Stabilizer.

I think he'll probably go with the reg, he didn't like the prices of the nitro tanks. What's a tank with an anti siphon tube?

call tippmann and tell em that you have the LPK(even if you don't) and the r/t, tell em you need teh hoses and fittings for the 98 custom pro r/t, they will send them to you free of charge, they just ask for name, address, zipcode, phone #, it makes the r/t like 4-7 bps faster.
98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

There is a pic of an anti-siphon tube. It prevents liquid CO2 from getting to your valve and that makes your velocity more consistent.

Note that this tank is now specifc to one ASA (unless you get lucky) because there is a "right side up".  The installation is also insane, but I think most proshops will do it for you.

oh ok thanks. Personally, I'm going to use HPA and forget about Co2. He's sticking to Co2 for now.

I would suggest a Palmers  Stabilizer for the C/Pro. You are very likely to have Shoot Down without something to fix the Co2 problem.
