I'm trying to find a quiet gun for woodsball and I'm trying to decide between the A-5 and the 98c, which one is quieter?

Just throw on a JJ ceramic, that should quiet it down. A-5 is pretty loud though.

Yep - nothing like a big fat hunk o' metal banging back and forth inside a metal cage to make a ruckus. Tippmanns are loud - learn to love it. If you do want to quiet the gun, however, the LP kit will help signficantly. A SP or Dye barrel can help as well, but most of the noise still comes from the clanging metal. |

St!ffis are also quiet barrels, but don't get your hopes up. If you really want a quiet gun, buy a Matrix. Tippmanns will always be loud, no matter what you do to them.

the person that you're shooting @ doesn'know where you are shooting from, so it's a good advantage. |

Rocket Cocker II helps on the sound, and a barrel that has lots of pores might do the trick too. If you have a 98C, you can get a Low Pressure system. That might help out too.
