A ULE body is a center vert feed angel threaded in alluminum body. I dont what custom one you are talking about. The slug body is a stainless steel body w/ extra material for custom milling, correct me if im wrong, which never happens!
Yes i think the slug body comes unassembled. I would go with a Paradigm mag or Tac-One. you can use a regular hopper.Edited by youwish |

ULE bodies are cocker threaded, not Angel threaded. They come in center feed or warp feed left/right. "Regular" Mag bodies are "powerfeed l/r", but that does not mean you have to use a warp. A regular elbow allows a regular hopper without any problem, but you will have offset feed, and a little taller than a vertical feed ULE body.

The feedneck is angel threaded, thats why i said: "vert feed angel threaded", there barrels are cocker threaded. The diiference is the first one is already fully loaded and built and the second one is you build your own.

The feedneck is removable on your ULE body? Mine is pretty much not coming off...

is it worth to do a custom one where you pick everything or is it cheaper and a better deal to go with the one without the certain packages like bronze, silver, gold
also are there any pictures or is it the normal ULE with all the up's another thing is when you go to the custom making on the magsmith website is the one with the certain packages a RT ULE one like the one in the marker section??? Edited by Mr.Shake56 |

If you look in the gun of the month voting you will see what looks like A RT ULE Paradigm mag w/ aftermarket barrel and on/off. I would save up for a Paradigm mag from themagsmith.com b/c they are so nice, I dont know how much they cost. Just go look.

Hold on here.
Best to start clean and find out exactly what you want not what others are telling you to get. IM on my Third mag and do higly recomend them but their are so many differant possible configurations that say to just gert a mag is impossible. Basically Mags consist of a body Valve and bolt and a rail and triggerframe THATS IT. All of these parts are interchangable from the variouse models for the most part. Buying a mag is unlike most other markers as you really pick and chose the parts you want to put to geather this is one of the things that makes a mag so unique but also condems them from being more mainstream. Ill try and give a shot description of the variouse parts and whats the pluse and minus of each that are currently for sale NEW. THE BODIES: ULE body: Cocker threaded barrel angle threaded Feed neck and aluminum light weight construction (can be vert feed or warb feed style) TAC: bode basically a a woodsball ULE body with on board rails Karta body: Basically just a fancy milled ULE body with a mathing rail Slug body: UN milled ULE body sold for coustom milling MiniMag Body: Old school stainless steel body with slots cut horizontily on the front section. Comes in numerouse finishes.. Uses uncommon Mag twist lock barrels and the barrel IS both the breach of the gun and houses your detent (VERY fast to remove and install barrel). (comes in left or right power feed and a hand full of VERT feed (barrels for Vert feeds are hard to find but the left and right feeds barrels are easy enough to find) THis is the body i have on my own gun. Automag Classic: Very similare to the Minimag bodies just without the vents NOW FOR RAILS: Classic MM/AM rail: Its simple but heavy but also VERY common and performs every bit the same as the rest Rails are purly astetics and weight. (What i use on my mag) RT/Pro Rail: again simple but built with light weight aluminum and a differant shape Karta Rail: Mathes the Karta body Tac Rail: Similare to the ule rail differant asstetics TRIGGER FRAMES: MM/AM Classic Frames: AGD standard Light weight composie single trigger frames Intellie Frames: AGD factory Light weight Aluminaum duel finger frames with either Blad triggers or more traditional double finger triggers. Also milled inside to accept electronics to connect a revie hopper to the trigger to activate the hopper every trigger pull. (what i use on my mag) RPG Chimera Frames: More common of the after market 90* frames very similar to the angel frames AGD Y-Grip: Odd ball frame built for the speedballers comfort. thing a 45 frame slanted forward instead of back. Apperantly VERY comfy for a speed ballers wrist position. Now VALVES: Classic Valve: Old Valve with a max cyucle rate of around 15bps. Capable of accepting the Level 10 bolt (more on that later). Can run on Co2 or HPA. Heavy stainless steel construction but very simplisic easy to maintain valve. (i have one of these as a backup) X Valve: VERY fast recharge rate for a max cycle speed of over 30bps. accepts both the level ten and ULT upgrades. REQUIERS use of a HPA tank ONLY. Built with light weight aluminim and usually comes with the level ten upgrade (this is whats always installed on my mag). And now for the two very common UPS: Bolts: Level 7 bolt: Simple bolt with no frills always works no tuning rquiered. Decent air efficancy Level 10 bolt: THE BEST mehcanical anit chop system EVER created. wont chop anything if tuned right. Can shoot you finger and it wont pinch. But can be finicy to tune and requiers some time to tune for lower velocities. (have this on both my valves although i want a level seven for my classic vave for simplicity) ON/OFF ASSEMBLYS (part of the valves). AM/MM ON/OFF: What comes in all classic valves RT on off: Slightly light trigger pull than the Classics on/off stock in X-valves and the older RT valves(rt valves are just stainless stell x valves) Also these valves work best in the EMAGS ULT on/off: a upgrade ON/OFF assembly makes the trigger pull EXTREAMLY light and very walkable. But requiers some tunning to get to your preferace. CAN NOT BE PROPERLY used in classic vlaves. (use this on my X-Valve) So thats the basics (Theirs alot more you can do but that should help with getting started and deciding what ya want from a mag). IF ya have any questions shoot me a PM and i see if i can help. |

I would definately go to themagsmith and geta a Paradigm mag or do Doro and get a Classic and built to your likings, but eventually you will want an X-valved mag, so thats why Im pushing the Paradign mag.

YOu could even order it straight from AGD websight also. Too be
hhonest i have not ordered from any of the other posted sights but
ordered a few ups straight from AGD and their really nice to deal
with. And FAST.
IM also Canadian so i dont deal too mutch in the states but wont hesitate buying from AGD again. I got the stuff from AGD faster than if i were to order from any canadian shop and a TON cheaper. For a first time mag it suggest getting a Pro/Classic mag of AGD with a ULE body and a tuned Level ten installed in the slassic valve. Adds up to $371 pluse youd need a barrel (id suggest a 12" J&J ceramic (Cocker threaded if you do get the ULE body) my favorite barrel so add $30). With similar setup i was reliable hitting 7bps no chops and no problems. Get a Intellie frame and you can hit 10bps easy enough. With that setup you wont need HPA right away either if you get the X-Valve youl nedd to get a HPA tank as they CANT run on co2. |
