To provide cover fire for the others. Well that is what I do when I play the back. I break shoot alot and burn.

to fire alot of paint and give cover to your moving teamates.they usually have really fast guns...

It's really personal preference in what you play. Play whatever you like to play. And look on www.madpaintballer.com. Theres great articles on how to play the different positions in speedball.

I'm a pretty big guy too, but I prefer mid to front. I think back would be boring, but it is important someone does it.

a back player is suppose to lane at the start of the game and lay down lots of paint through out the game.
