Yeah, thats REALLY bad for it, you should leave it off for about the same amount of time to undo the damage. Please, for the sake of your computer.

Turn it off and check the fans.  You might need to replace one or more. It may be that your computer is overheating.

No, its not. He is fooling himself. Sneaky, start it up again with a large magnet next to the hard drive. That will fix your problems.

You can leave PC's on all the time...

You just want to make sure you check the fans now and again.

Actually turning computers on/off, rather than just leaving it on, will cut the longevity of the computer's life. Not the other way around. With electrical spikes on when turning on/off eventually taking its toll on the equipment.

It's running slow probably due to both spyware, and depending on your place it needs an internal cleaning... physically. Might wanna get some of that dust outta there.

Yeah I don't think your comp being slow is related to the fact that you leave it on, unless you're getting spyware or viruses because it's connected to the net at all times.

Try defragging a few times, clean your registry, get rid of spyware. And find out what is making that noise. Probably a simple fan you need to replace, and while you're in there clean all the dust out and clean the filters (if your computer has dust filters), etc.

Some program you run probably has a memory leak. The best way to fix that is to epoxy your RAM slots and holes you can see on your hard drive. That'll keep the memory from leaking out.
