Ok I always here people talking about dwell settings on the ion..Is the dwell set fine straight out of the box or do I need to set it? also can someone please give me an exact definition of dwell..isnt it the time the solenoid stays open between each shot? and if there is any other settings that I should do please post them.. thanks!

by lowering it, it increases your air efficiency which sucks on a stock ion. mine is at about 42 with a bps of 11.  with a qev and upgraded bolt it can go to about 10.

Its set well enough at the stock dwell in my opinion.  My friend doesn't fiddle with his IOn one bit really.  He got a cp reg, a freak kit, q-lock, a halo, and a new tank.  He doesn't monkey with stuff and he doesn't have trouble with efficiency too much.  The cp reg is very consistent, but I don't own an Ion so I can only speak froma cansual observer's standpoint.

Only change the dwell if you get a QEV, otherwise, I'd leave it alone (unless you really understand what the dwell is).
