Topic: new custom 98 Posted: 16 February 2006 at 12:50am |
alright jsut got into paintball with a 98 custom with flatline... i will have a pic up here after a shopping spree... i need recomadations for upgrades... i know alot of people dont liek the flatline, but for my recreational purposes its perfect...
i was thinking this:
tippmann 98 custom
flatline barrel
ricochet rhino hopper
responce trigger
some sorta drop forward
rocket cock
read velocity adjuster
....mind you i jsut got into this game, im on a low budget (yes yes i got a expensive barrle that is only average), and its for fun, i only wanna own the rec players at local feildsm not the world, any imput would be great, Thanks.

The Flatline and a Responce Triggar are an Awsome Combonation. My Friend has it and its the perfect combonation for Senario. For the drop foward, if your thinking of doing Hyper Ball or Going to the Airball field i would definatly get it how ever if your going to be playing on smaller fields i would recomend not getting the flatling because when your hidding behind a bunker, you have to hold the gun almost behind you. If your getting the Responce Trigger, a electric hopper is a MUST. If you dont get an electric hopper it will chop balls like theres no Tommorow. Rocket Cockers dont really do anything other than make your gun look a little bit better. If you want to spend your money on that i would say go right ahead.

does a rhino cut it? or do you mean like one with the computer chips and such (mind you im a n00b), the rocket cocker is so i dont loose my fingers and i heard it reduces a bit of noise.

it reduces some noise but if you get a flatline you dont really need to worry about noise because they are loud any way. Personally, I hate Rhinos because they are loud and dont even rotate that fast. If you were to get a Electric hopper that is not too expensive i would recommend that you get the Empire Reloader. Its not very expensive and its sound activated so that your battery doesnt die everytime you go out to play. Scense your new to paintball I would play around a few times and see how you like the sport and if you deside that the NOT SO CUSTOM 98 custom doesent cut it for you I would definatly Upgrade it so its Custom.

Why? he already has a flatline...and flatlines are good for woodsballers like him...keep your barrel you have. Heres what I would do. Play a few more games before you upgrade
