The C3 does not have any upgrades yet so stock is all you'll get. I'd like to try it...

so you know gabster the pro carbine is an exccelent marker. ever think the reason they are used as rentals is because they are very hard to damage or break and easy to clean.

Stock I would have to go with the Carbine. The thing is a tank and will last forever. The 98 is a little faster out of the box, but not much. The main strength of the 98 is its upgradeability. The C3 is really something different altogether. "Better" isn't really the correct description. The Carbine has a significant firepower advantage over the C3, but the C3 never needs an air fill. If it is hard for you to get fills, and you aren't playing against guys with really fast guns, then C3 > other guns. Otherwise, strictly out of the box, Carbine is a great gun. If you may upgrade down the road, however, you are better off with the 98. |

^^yeah, agreed either the carbine or the 98c. Both are great. You can upgrade the carbine too, it's just a little harder. |

The cyclone is the main difference between the A-5 and 98C, but if that is what you are after, they have made the cyclone feed available for the 98C. It's possible I had a dud, but the A-5 I had was trash. Long live the 98 Custom! Edited by hwayhzrd - 06 March 2006 at 9:11am |
