Is this normal, someboby talk to me. I just got a 68cu 4500psi high pressure Pure energy tank. I set up on my A5( hot tube, flatline, E grip, remote line) I purchaced a brand new bag of Marballizer paint. In tuning up the gun for the year, I found that I went through an entire tank in 500 paintballs, is that normal? I then checked all fitting for leaks, I submergred entire setup in a water (no bubble). What's the deal. To anyone that wants to say, this has already been posted. Send me the link and I'll read the anwser there, if not somebody help a brota out.

The velocity setting doesn't matter for efficiency on an A-5, unless you are using an RVA. Speaking of which - do you have any other upgrades? Stock, rear velocity adjuster, internals? If not, then your drive spring may just be too strong. Common issue with Tippmanns. Cutting a couple of links off the main drive spring would help (or get a spring kit or an RVA). |

I toke the e-grip off, come on guys. It says I'm a Marine, not in the ch Air force. Rambino the anwser to your question is Yes, I have the CAR stock, which I now is my velocity adjustor and I also have the A-5 red hot power tube installed.

How long was the interval between filling the tank and firing the balls?
Did you leave the tank on the marker after getting it filled? are you sure they willed the tnak to 4500, and not 3k? |

an hour, two a best. I checked the gauge it read 4500 psi. I know when we fill our SCBA tanks at the firehouse, if we fill them too fast the get warm. Well when I go this tank back it was d@mn near smokin. Is there a drop off, of air if the tank is filled to fast?

Yes, if a tank is filled to fast the pressure will drop as it cools down. You might have only gotten 3000psi out of your 4500psi tank. The best way is to fill it once, let it sit for a few minutes, and then top it off.

You must have filled it too fast... Take your time with your air tank, if you fill it too fast the heat can ruin the insides from what i've heard, and you'll end up failing the hydro test. It's much better to spend an extra 2 mins filling your tank every time than having to buy a new one every 5 years. |

Interesting, I just spoke to one of the guy at the Local proshop, he told me the the A5 internals are not made to work on high pressure, I should install a low pressure kit as well as a inline reg. does this hold water with anyone here?

Time to find another Pro shop. The A-5 is designed to function with CO2 which is the high pressure end of operating spectrum. |
