    Posted: 05 April 2006 at 11:32pm
Well hey all and My brother just got me into paintballing as he was some years ago
He gave me his 98 Custom Camelion which has been sitting in our harsh New England garage all winter.
After using it for a few weeks I noticed a few problems and I had no idea what to do.

-Some times the balls would'nt shoot they would just stay in the barrel, next shot it would shoot two at once
-Rather than shooting it would do a burst fire motion and the ball would split out a foot.

Any suggestions?
(Sorry for spelling)

you need a new ball latch (detent) and likely new sear spring, drive spring, and possibly hammer and sear.

Ape Board
JCS Blade Trigger
QEV
8" Bigshot + Apex
Ricochet R-5 / Tac Cap

Was the marker stored with the hammer cocked all this time?

look in the manual for the part names.  The buffer o-ring won't solve your problem, it is likely the ball latch like I said befor.

If im not mistaking the ball latch is the orangish colored piece that goes before the barrel?
Its when I shoot it won't give air, I guess so then ill re-cock it and it will work or the same problem will happen again.
About the manual I dont have one of thoes maybe ill pick one up this week end.
About the hammer being cocked, It was moved some times so it may have been displaced over the course of the winter so im not 100% sure.

Download the manual from Tippman's site. and sounds like as was initially thought that the sear isn't catching because it could be worn. Another problem could be a bad airline, but that would likely have been an issue before ... unless you're using a different tank on the marker and it happens to be low pressure output.

Edit ... And a 98 doesn't count as an old marker
