Topic: Question on co2 tanksPosted: 16 April 2006 at 10:57am |

ok here goes...
i just bought a 98 custom at walmart (i know, but oh well its tippmann) i took it out and charged the co2 tank (9 oz), and shot stuff up with it...i actually broke a hole in a water bottle after about 20-25 shots... took it out and played in the woods with my bro in law... we didnt go through probably 1000 shots total and i was out of gas... my question is this: how long SHOULD a 9oz co2 last, and if im shooting hot, will that cause it to empty that fast??? thanks for all the help that im sure that ill recieve |

you should get roughly 450 shots per 9oz tank. 1000 shots off of a 9oz would be amazing.

A gun is not a weapon... It's a tool. Like a butcher knife, or a harpoon, or...uh, a...an alligator. |

if you wanna get 1000 shots you might possibly get it on a 16oz (hard to find), but if you're gonna use CO2 you might as well get a few 20oz tnks. they aren't that much more for the added volume.

For a full fill on a 9oz C02 tank you should get around anywhere from 435-470 shots. I would reccomend getting 2 12oz C02 tanks. It tanks the weight off of a 20oz tank plus since you have two, it adds up to 24 pz around 1400 shots. Two 12oz tanks is defenately the way to go.

yeah, go to local welding shop or a sporting goods shop if there isn't a paintball shop close to you, or you could consider purching(sp) a scuba tank.
