well, since all i've ever owned is Tippmanns, i'm obviously biased. but the point is, Tippmanns are the best bang for your buck if you are just getting into the game and you want an excellent entry-level marker----- so to sum up, i'd go with a custom pro or an a-5. i have a 98 custom, and i've loved it ever since the first time i held it in my hands. after playing for a few years, and modifying it to my heart's content, i'm uber-happy with its performance, durability, and overall versatility. good luck with whatever choice you make! edit: sorry for the long-winded post, sometimes i get carried away..... i would go with a tippmann they are really good guns and are not very expensive compared to the other guns and playing woodsball you will need a tough gun and the tippmann doesnt have any electronics which i like because i had a electric one and my brother has an electric one we both had a lot of trouble with them and when i switched to a tippmann A-5 i didnt have any more trouble with my gun to try to get it to work.tippmans cyclone feed sysem is really good because you dont have to worry about it jamming up in the middle of your game.
