RT or Egrip

I just got my A5 and i want to know what i should get an RT or Egrip. I've heard good and bad about both

 

It's personal preference. I prefer an E-Trigger, so obviously I'd go with the E-Grip. But some people don't like electric guns, so they'd get the R/T. Both will be pleny fast, so choose which is better for you.

go with the egrip. you can get more fireing modes and culd prolly shot faster

I chose the E-grip and unlike half the posts here ill tell you why.

First off if it raining......nothing will happen to the egrip because its enclosed in the griup. Ive played in rain many times with fletropneumatic guns and never had problems.

Next I chose the e grip because it can be setup to shoot in different modes. With the RT you have one mode. RT mode, you can adjust the firing but if you need to bring it down to a semi mode only you have to turn it all the way down and now you have a piston behind the trigger which makes the trigger feel a little heavier.

Also, some fields do not allow the RT. What do you do when you get to a field that doesnt allow it? Your tuck shooting in semi mode with the RT piston there making the trigger harder than it is as a regular mechanical marker. With the Egrip you dont have to worry about this.

Next, you slap the Egrip on and play. Theres not running a hose to the rt then to the cyclone. Yea ones its setup its fine but its still something else to do. If its like the 98 RT you have to punch a hole in the side of the gun. If you remove it later to get an Egrip then you have a permanent hole in the side of your marker.

If were worried about it getting damaged? Would you rather have everything internal like an E-grip or parts of the RT external where they will be more prone to tearing or coming off the barbs. The reality is both will last up just as long as the other. Sure you can go swimming with the RT but are you really going to do that. If you really wanted to you could get the APE board for the egrip which is water resistant should you feel the need.

IMO now that both are so close in price range i dont see any reason not to get an E-grip. Before when there was only the ebolt or the RT the RT was the definite choice. Now I feel the egrip is the better of the two.

I have an RT and love it. I am use to it, and can empty a half of hopper per trigger pull if I choose. No need to by the electro gizmos that break and take batteries.
