Powder coating CANNOT be done at home, unless you have a very rich daddy. The paint particles have to be magnetically charged before they are sprayed on, and then they have to be baked on. There are plenty of stickys and such on this fourm on how to properly paint your marker, look around for them.

Look in the phonebook to try and find places around your town. If you can't find any, there are some places online that you can sent your gun to. It would depend on the place as to how long and how much. |

I imagine it would look like crap. Theres a reason powdercoating is done by professionals. Look in the yellow pages under metal treating or powdercoating to find a local place. Some places will only do large batch orders, others will do small orders. Keep in mind if you find a place to do it, youre responsible for only sending in the parts you want powdercoated. And since the powdercoating process includes baking the parts at high tempertures, make absolutely sure you remove EVERYTHING from the gun halves. Sin Customs and Whitewolf both do powdercoating I believe. They might be gone by now though. Edited by Enos Shenk - 27 April 2006 at 2:53pm |

powdercoating at home is cheap you canget a kit with every thing but an air conpressor or any kind of compressed air 4 about 120 bucks i go to a tech school a we coat there monkey can do it and theres almost no way to screw it up. all you do is spray the powder, the powder sticks ,you put it in the oven for 15 min at 400 degrees and itll come iout perfect

regardless...the powder is poisonous and if it gets onto the surface of the standard cooking oven, you can get sick/die...hence the need for a dedicated oven.
