I have a Custom Pro-e with the ACT and w.a.s. board and i'm looking into getting a compressed air tank. I don't know whether to get a low pressure tank or high pressure tank. And if its best with low pressure, should i look into a low pressure kit?

High Pressure. In order to use LP you would need the LPK, but it's not necessary with HP. Just buy the HP tank and screw it in.

ok, but my friend's all use low pressure without lpk's, does this mean they aren't getting the most efficient use of their tanks?

Okay, good answer. You cannot use an LP tank on a Tippmann without an LPK. LP tanks can be used on many high end guns with no problems or add-ons needed. What guns do your friends have? |

The low pressure output HPA bottle supplies air to the gun at about 400 psi. It is not likely that your standard marker, without a low pressure kit (LPK), will function reliably at that pressure (it might, but you are on a ragged edge of failure-to-cock. Standard operating pressure of the Tippmann is 800-850 psi which is what the high pressure output HPA tank supplies. If you buy the HPA high output (standard output) no changes have to be made to the marker. You really must install the LPK to be able to use the HPA Low Pressure output tank on your Tippmann. |
