I know the C3 uses propane, but is it also able to be used with a HPA tank, my 68/45 Crossfire, or is it propane only?

No, its propane only. Its actually is powered by combustion. There is an ignition chamber that ingnites the propane, thus propelling the paintball.

Ah, all right, thanks for that.  Kinda hoping it would take air.  Thats cool though, wait till they do it to the M98, sales will soar.  I was looking at the C3 for a woodsball gun instead of my ION.  Is it worth the $200 for the gun and $8 a pop for a propane...for as often i get my tank refilled, souds good.
Thanks again!

You would most likely never have to change your propane tank, since you get 50000 shots off one tank. That is more rounds than you will ever shoot through a pump. But a semi auto version from what I understand is a long way away.

Another question about the C3...Could you put a trigger mod on it like the one for the A5 or M98?  I was looking at the gun and it looked like you could, even though it is a pump and it is pointless to put a 2 finger trigger on it, but it would be different.

I'm sure that you can't put a trigger from another gun into it. The C3 has a unique trigger that has a spring near the bottom to press it back out away from the electronics within the grip. It doesn't trip a sear, instead it trips a circuit that shoots a spark into the combustion chamber. And there will not be any mods for the 98 custom or A5 or any other gun to convert them to propane, because such a mod would require replacing the entire body of the gun.

By the way... your name sounds familiar. Like a scorpion from a certain MMORPG game...

Alright, i heard rumors about tippmann making their M98's and A5's with that mod, so i was just curious.  I used to play Runescape, I now play Guild Wars, a little City of Heros and Risk Your Life for the free trial, oh and Conquer Online. Also CS:S.

Nvm, I was thinking World of Warcraft. There's a scorpion in the newbie orc/troll zone you have to fight named Sarkoth.

There is only going to be limited accesories avilible, because of the limited number of players that have them it is not profitable to the big name manufacuters to setup production runs.

I use a 3 0z tank on my c-3, its like having nothing at all on the tail, it is a little bernz-o-matic tank, cost me 2.00  probably shot 2 cases through it  and stll has plent of fuel left. I have also tried mapp gas but it is to hot of fuel for the gun. other than that the c-3 is a great marker. The only up grade needed is a 14 or 16 barrell

You don't need a new barrel considering the stock barrel is frickin long to begin with.
