Actually, a red dot sight is much more practical with the Flatline barrel than it is with any standard barrel. At the practical limit of the Flatline's range the sight can be set dead on. There is no need for compensation for the arching trajectory as you would with a standard barrel. I used a Flatline with a BSA Red Dot sight for almost a year and was very happy with the performance of the combination...I set aside the Flatline strictly because of its requirement of premium paint. The Red Dot provided enough accuracy to allow first shot hits and the ability to lay paint just off the edge of the bunker, for when the opponent popped out to snap shoot, with out the warning he would usually receive from the range-finding shots impacting his bunker. i was thinking of buying the flatline for my 98. but i was wondering if any of u guys know if it'll work on the normal model 98? i would assume it would since it is a barrel.
how did you get a red dot sight ontop of the flatline as i have never actually seen one. does it have a mount rail? and how did you get past the hopper? i would think it would be in the way of a sight. |
