    Posted: 07 June 2006 at 5:14pm
I have a 98c with a rt.  My gun is beginning to chop balls.  Should i purchase the cyclone feed system or a new hopper?  I heard that if i get the cyclone feed then i will need some sort of adapter.  All together how much would the cyclone feed and adapter cost?  Also, if i chose to get a new hopper, which do you think i should get? Thanks

i would say cyclone, its way cheaper than getting a new hopper.

the adapter comes with it, u can get a vortex and a qev for the cyclone for upgrades to it

The cyclone is probably the best for a 98c. The whole setup is about $90
with the T fitting from

I might be mistaken but I thought if you called Tippmann up they would send you the T fitting free of charge.

My bad the cyclone is about $60 without the the T fitting which you CAN get
from Tippmann from free from tippmannparts.com. I was going from
memory from when I bought mine a long while back.

yes you can install it yourself. its extremly simple because you already have the new power tube.  all you have to do is install it where the old elbow was and attach the "T" fitting. then the hoses from the r/t and the cyclone
what?

yeah. the cyclone works great. and since you already installed the r/t, you don't need to take apart the gun to assemble the cyclone.

An electric hopper like the Egg or a HaloB is better than the cyclone, but those are out of your price range. So just stick with the cyclone.
