i just had a thought. ok you have your tank valve that you screw the tank into. then you have your remote kit if you want to use it. i had a thought of hooking up a remote kit fitting into your gun air line.
you would put a remote fitting on the bottom of the asa (the kind on compressed air tanks - air can get in but not out) if you wanted to use your remote, you cold just attach it insted of getting the adapter to screw in. or you could use 2 tanks at once.
i just thought of this so i dont know if it is going to work. twll me what you think |

Like I said it's been done... But they hooked up two tanks to one
remote... Which makes it better then the idea you came up with...

I think it would work pretty well for the 2-tank idea, but if you're gonna use one or the other, it's probably easier to just have a normal ASA and then a remote line that screws into that.

It's a fitting you put on the remote asa... that had two connectors on it. He had a backpack with two tanks that ran his gun..

if you had 2 3000psi tanks going into your gun, would you need special regs and hoses? -because that 6000psi and some of the hoses are rated for 3000

I believe when I saw this inovation the guy was just using 2 20oz CO2
tanks to you'll have to check on that. It'd probably be to much PSI...

you could always use 2 3000psi tanks with remotes hooked up to the asa and have on/off switches on them so you can switch back and forth between tanks
also on my idea...if i use 1 tank and hook it to the bottom of the asa...will the air just come out of the regular screw in valve? Edited by tippya5extreme - 17 July 2006 at 3:00pm |

The first thing you said is true. That would be a way to do it without blowing a line. For the second thing you said... I'm guessing you mean if you use just the remote hook up and not the regular ASA will the air leak? Yes it will. But an option for that it getting an On/Off and screwing it into your ASA and turning it off so only the remote air will acess the gun and will not leak out the back. |

the time you do that you could just screw in the remote line into the asa.... i was trying to attached a remote fitting on the gun so if i want to use a remote all i had to do is click it in. |

Well the air would leak out the back unless you had something to screw in and block the leak...

All I can think of is a On/Off adapter.. You could just keep it screwed
into your ASA... Use it with your tank when you don't use the remote.

No, hooking up 2 3000 psi tanks to one hose, or to your gun will not produce 6000 psi anywhere. Its just not how it works. You can never 'create' higher pressures than what you start with without a compressor, or heat. Edited by Olcaddy - 17 July 2006 at 5:54pm |
